About
The Maharishi Madhusudan Ji recognizes that God though Formless, may assume a visible form, with the grace of a realized Sadguru. The Maharishi also believes in the established fact that the fulfillment of human life lies in realization of God.
Maharishi Madhusudan Ji took initiation of sannyas on 9 December 1980 by great Saint 1008 Swami Hariharanand Swarswati (Sri Karpatri Ji Maharaj) in Varanasi afterward Maharishi Madhusudan Ji took initiation of yoga & transcendental meditation by Sadguru Sri 1008 Maharshi Mahesh Yogi Ji in 1982. After that he established Maharishi Yoga Ashram in 1999 at Haridwar.
The Ashram recognizes that the invisible God, though manifested in every particle of the creation, is himself a free entity altogether different from the entire visible world. The entire visible creation is an illusion i.e. Maya and prone to change and decay. What remains even after destruction of Maya composed of five transitory elements, is formless God.
The Maharishi Yoga Ashram believes in the established fact that though formless God can be experienced and is knowable. Having known Him, the purpose of human life is to devote one-self to the service of God. It is to be clearly understood that knowledge of God is not the aim of devotion but is only a means to devotion.
Generally a devotee endeavors to realize God but the Ashram believes that knowledge of the self is pre-requisite for the knowledge of God. Without knowledge of the self, God cannot be known, and hence no infusion of divine virtues in the consciousness.
The feeling of duality dwelling in consciousness will come to an end only when one perceives the all-pervading God in all the animates and subsequently generating in the consciousness the feeling of universal love and service.
No progress is possible unless ego is dissolved and the ego may be dissolved only with the perfect knowledge of God. The mind then will be filled with peace tranquility and the firm realization that God is the only Doer. It will further usher into the state of unconditional surrender to God when one experiences that nothing but God exists. Thus, the whole life will be drenched with devotion.
The Maharishi Yoga Ashram recognizes four ways of God-realization, viz; Karma-yoga, Bhakti-yoga, Raj-yoga and Gyaan-yoga. Karma-Yoga is for assiduous persons, Bhakti-Yoga for those of devotional nature, Raj-Yoga for esoteric ones and Gyaan-Yoga for one equipped with the faculty of discrimination.
Karma-Yoga leads to selfless service, Bhakti-Yoga to devotion, Raj-Yoga to self-discipline and Gyaan-Yoga to prudence.
VISION
The Ashram thus believes in the spiritual transformation of life. Yoga invariably establishes harmony in the human personality at the physical, vital, emotional, intellectual and spiritual planes of life.
Maharishi Yoga Ashram at the physical plane, pranayam at the vital plane and meditation at the mental plane create and activate nectar like subtle energy rendering life to be healthy, happy and prosperous.
The Maharishi Yoga Ashram recognizes the doctrine of “Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam”, i.e. Yoga is Excellence in Action. Discharging one’s duty under all circumstances, you have to perform the respective duties assigned to you by Him. But you have to maintain your independent wholeness in the presence of men and matter in practical life. This very state is known as adeptness or excellence in karma.
This is Karma-Yoga and it means that while dwelling in the world, the world must not dwell in you.
Principally, Yoga is a way of life, a complete life. It is the way of transformation of all facets of human personality. There is nothing to be forsaken. Spiritual yoga does not imply abandonment of karmas but their performance in a well-considered manner.
The Maharishi Yoga Ashram does not stand in opposition to any of the religious doctrines, caste, creed, and holy thoughts. Rather, it appreciates the basic principles of all religious values. The Ashram’s endeavor is to take the aspirant out of darkness, weakness, disharmony, hatred, disease, frustration and limitations and safely escort one to light, strength, harmony, love, health, self-confidence, abundance and limitlessness respectively.
The Maharishi Yoga
Ashram
The Maharishi Yoga Ashram does not stand for any religious cult or sect but it propagates an action oriented spiritual ideology which believes in establishing universal brotherhood in society for realization of Godhood by leading a virtuous life and through spiritual awakening. The Ashram believes in the intrinsic divine principle that this visible world is the creation of the formless Brahama- the Supreme Being, who, creates, operates and annihilates the entire Universe and it is, he who has manifested Himself in many forms, and regulating the system. The Maharishi Madhusudan Ji recognizes that God though Formless, may assume a visible form, with the grace of a realized Sadguru.
