About

Maharishi Madhusudan Ji is the founder and spiritual guide of Maharishi Yoga Ashram. He took initiation of Sannyas on 9 December 1980 in Varanasi from the great saint 1008 Swami Hariharanand Saraswati (Sri Karpatri Ji Maharaj). In 1982, he received initiation in Yoga and Transcendental Meditation from Sadguru Sri 1008 Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji. With deep spiritual wisdom and dedication, he established Maharishi Yoga Ashram in Haridwar in 1999. The Ashram believes that the invisible, formless God exists in every particle of creation, yet remains completely independent of the visible world. It teaches that the material world is Maya—temporary, changing, and perishable—while the eternal truth that remains beyond all destruction is the formless Supreme Divine.

Mission

To guide individuals toward self-realization and the knowledge of the formless Supreme God through yoga, meditation, and spiritual awareness.

To inspire universal love, selfless service, and devotion by removing ego and realizing the presence of God in all living beings.

To help humanity attain inner peace, complete surrender to the Divine, and a life filled with truth, harmony, and spiritual fulfillment.

VISION

The Mahrishi Yoga Ashram has formulated five practical principles for a successful worldly life. Every seeker, before he sets out in pursuit of knowledge of God, has to resolve to observe the following:

1. Unfailing adherence to “Yogah Karmsu Kaushalam”.

2. Freedom from the ego and attachment on the basis of  religion, caste, creed, class, ashram etc.

3 To sun the burden of ego on account of body, intellect richness as these are the gifts of God.

4. Not to practice discrimination on basis of diferences of dress, eating, habits and culture.

5. Not to leak out the wisdom awarded by the sadguru without his permission to save one self from the ego of intellect.

The Mahrishi Yoga
Ashram

The Mahrishi Yoga Ashram recognizes four ways of God- realization, viz; Karma-yoga, Bhakti-yoga, Raj-yoga and Gyaan- yoga. Karma-Yoga is for assiduous persons, Bhakti-Yoga for those of devotional nature, Raj-Yoga for esoteric ones and Gyaan- Yoga for one equipped with the faculty of discrimination. Karma: Yoga leads to selfless service Bhakti-Yoga to devotion, Raj-Yoga to self-discipline and Gyaan-Yoga to prudence.

The Mahrishi Yoga Ashram also recognizes the three types of impurities blocking the way of progress, viz; Mal (impurities in body and organs), Vikshep (attachment relating in wandering of mind) and Avaran (ego in intellect). Mal is to be eradicated by the practice of Karma-Yoga, Vikshep that by Upasana and Avaran by Gyaan-Yoga. The Ashram, thus believes in the spiritual transformation of life. The yoga invariably establishes harmony in the human personality at the physical, vital, emotional, intellectual and spiritual planes of life.
